It's so refreshing to actually come across an outdoor shop that seems to give a damn, and not just talking about eastenders or whatever. I work for the BBC, and we regularly send our workers out on small holidays, so always get outdoor equipment. Millets...Blacks...even cotsworld - they all seemed rubbish! I walked into Altimus not even knowing it was an outdoor shop at first - I was surprised when I actually received the help that I never had before - I don;t claim to be an expert on outdoor wear! Brilliant company,and I recomend everybody to go there if they need outdoor equipment, from jackets to boots! I have to agree with you Martin – I came across these guys by pure chance. It’s so refreshing to actually come across an outdoor shop that seems to give a damn, and not just talking about eastenders or whatever.

I found out about this gem from my physio, I have problems with my lower back and the guys at Altimus sorted it out. They have a podietrist who works their he made me some orthotics for my feet which has helped my back. Not what I was expecting from an outdoor shop. I read about them in Trail last month I had been Cotswolds and Blacks what a waste of my time they truely dont have a clue fitting me in this boot and that boot by trial and error with the added attitude that "good fitted boots are ment to hurt intially" (cotswold Piccadilly) well if you want your feet to be assesed and treated to the highest level go to Altimus they are located in Reading nxt door to Millets. I bought a pair of Altberg boots feel superb. I can tell you I will be heading back to this store for all other things. The foot specialist i saw was wonderfull he listened and came up with sevral options to help with my foot condtion he even got me some walking boots that fitted !!!!!!!!! . Anyone thats looking for footwear i would visit this place there number is 01189582211 you can book in advance for an appoitment which i would recommend as they were busy. The specialist i saw was Chris. Good customer servce, and good clothing knowledge.
